British-European artist Tacita Dean is best known for her use of analogue film, and her advocacy for its preservation as an artistic medium. Besides her celebrated moving image works Dean’s practice is incredibly wide-ranging and includes drawing, photography, installations and collections of found objects and altered images. This week we are delighted to present a number of the artist’s Found Postcard Monoprints.

Found Postcard Monoprint (Center of Rainbow Bridge)
2018In Found Postcard Monoprints (Center of Rainbow Bridge), Tacita Dean continues to investigate her fascination with vintage postcards. She has used the postcard as a medium in several previous works, changing their meaning through manipulation or re-presentation. These pieces are made using cards from the artist’s personal collection which she has built up over many years. Each work is a unique mono-print, the colour and application of the inks reanimating the vintage imagery.
